Analysis of Yelp Ratings

Yelp is one of the very popular local business review and social networking site. The site has pages devoted to individual locations, such as restaurants or schools, where Yelp users can submit a review on their products or services using a one to five star rating system. Our task is to predict the ratings of restaurants based on the customers’ reviews and comments in Yelp. It’s not only about analyzing text and generating the ratings, but also about helping people to have a more objective sense of it by precluding personal prejudice from previous customers.
